The Fehmarn Belt Tunnel is an 18.1-kilometre-long road and rail tunnel currently under construction beneath the Baltic Sea between the German island of Fehmarn and the Danish island of Lolland, crossing the Fehmarn Belt. It will provide a direct rail and road link between the metropolitan areas of Copenhagen and Hamburg.
